Grievance, Redress, Ombudsman & Whistleblowing

The Grievance and Redress Procedure

At the Tenure Facility we understand that how we address grievances can have a profound effect on our legitimacy, stakeholder confidence and accountability within our projects.

We have therefore developed an internal Grievance and Redress Procedure to ensure that grievances are resolved promptly and objectively. All stakeholders to the Tenure Facility may use the procedure, which ensures confidentiality to the extent possible and includes several mechanisms to resolve a grievance, including consideration by the Tenure Facility’s Ombudsman.

The Grievance and Redress Procedure is directly linked to the Tenure Facility’s guiding policies and standards on environmental sustainability, gender and social equity, human and Indigenous People’s rights, as well as our project operations.

About the Ombudsman:

The Tenure Facility’s Ombudsman is a designated neutral party who advocates for fair and equitably administered processes. In the case the Grievance and Redress procedure fails to produce a satisfactory outcome, the Ombudsman may review a grievance made by a stakeholder and advise or make recommendations on actions needed to resolve the case. The Ombudsman maintains strict confidentiality and impartiality regarding all matters brought to his/her attention

The role of Ombudsman to the Tenure Facility has been held by Johan Munk since February 2022.
